And co-exhibitor, Beth Himsworth explores nature in glass mosaic and brings out the play of light and contrasting textures. Snedecor views art as a language to be explored and she believes in the power and mystery of symbols. Himsworth delves into nature's vibrant colors and the message of its resilience and seasons. Denise Romecki's ceramic sculptures are influenced by the energy of wind and water and seem to move and flow with swelling forms and delicate froth. Meet the artist at Gallery Hop on Saturday, June 4, from 4-6 PM. ------------------------------------------ April 15 - May 11, 2011 Face 2 Face, 25 Years of Art and Community Studios on High Gallery celebrates its 25th Anniversary with, “Face 2 Face, 25 Years of Art and Community,” an exhibition of new works by current members and alumni, showcasing the gallery's history and longevity in the Midwest art scene. The show will be held at The Columbus Cultural Arts Center, 139 W. Main St. Gallery hours are M-Th 9am-5pm, Fr 7-9pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 1-5. The opening reception is Friday, April 15th from 5:30-9pm. Thursday, April 21st at 12 noon, Judy Hoberg and Denise Romecki, ceramists and Teda Theis, painter and clay artist will speak at the Cultural Arts Center's Conversations and Coffee to talk about the Face2Face Show. The presentation will be in the main gallery.
