Jennifer Jolley Brown
For Jennifer, art is a story and a journey. She began by making “mud sculptures” in her backyard (yes, actual mud) and progressed to wall hangings made with yarn and dowel rods, creating the heaviest clay bowl known to humankind (which still survives), and continuing through almost every kind of art imaginable.
Printmaking is one of her mediums, particularly intaglio. Jennifer is inspired by the natural and built environments, both the familiar and the newly discovered. She loves when people ask what inspired a particular piece, because there’s always a story. Telling the story makes the journey worthwhile.
