How do you react to conflict, temptation, provocation? The range of emotions may be as simple as craving that second scoop of ice cream and as life changing as the lure of alcohol, tobacco or drugs. From simple to complex, the “BAIT” is everywhere. Once the line is crossed, there may not be a way back. In the artists’ drawings and sculptures, he explores the human challenges of facing one’s temptations, maintaining control and overcoming the pull of darkness.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Inspired by life and magic, Mr. Meyer’s recollections, as far back as he can remember, were of sitting somewhere, sketching something. Creating art has always been his passion. His inspirations are life — man's continual struggle between good and evil, love and hate, right and wrong and the forces beyond what can be explained scientifically.

With a BS in Education and a double major in art and design, the artist has had a long, successful career as a graphic designer. His most recent shows have been at Columbus's Cultural Art Center and Studios on High Gallery.
