Artist Teda Theis exhibits mixed media assemblages made from clay, wood and metal. The artist incorporates elements of collage utilizing found and reclaimed objects to create unique, recontextualized works. The artist’s pieces have remarkable visual and tactile qualities, giving ordinary objects and materials artistic significance.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Acrylic painting, sculptural ceramics and mixed media sculpture are the artist's mediums of choice. Expressionism best describes her abstract paintings, while the more representational work leans toward impressionism. Mood and atmospheric techniques convey her personal vision which is inspired by nature and its isolated secrets.
